Vogue Fashion's Night Out in Manchester

Last week Vogue's well-known Fashion's Night Out arrived in Manchester. Stores such as Harvey Nichols, Selfridges and the centre's famous Arndale all took part, hosting events inside shops that everyone could get involved in, alongside a huge all-round celebration of fashion.

Basically, the roads were packed. It was heaving. From this season's tweed to classic leather, canvas and fur, the streets were truly awash with fashion. I've never been to an event like this before, so whilst it was overwhelming, it was also an event that pushed my excitement levels up a notch or two. I was surprised at how many things there were to do (we played bingo with two transvestites in Selfridges!)

Firstly, I went into a little white tent near The Corn Exchange, filled with fashion and design students' work, exhibited through a catwalk, catalogues and rails of items readily available to browse through.
This particular collection caught my eye:

Selfridges was nothing short of an experience. Minus the hordes of people, amongst the beautiful collections I was ogling (Acne, Lanvin and Alexander Wang to name a few). Lighthearted, exciting activities reigned, such as a professional photographer taking pictures of customers inside a giant Selfridges bag.

With Jameela Jamil DJ'ing on the top floor(!), and recognisable faces such as Erdem Moralioglu, it was too tempting not to sneak a snap.

If you went, I hope you enjoyed it! If not, I'd strongly recommend popping along next time!
